The Antipodean Condor is on the verge of extinction as a British resident, often seen soaring uphill circling then swooping back down to re assess its prey. It has been regularly sighted over recent years much to the distress of other members of the bunch always veering to the higher fells, grags and roads to avoid in general. Although a quiet Condor it as often been heard chatting away to others whilst they also attempt to reach the heights before it. The cry ranging from "nearly there" to "come on JK you know you want it"
The Antipodean will now become a rare summer visitor to these shores and a last rare sighting can be had at the Cross Keys , Siddal on Tuesday at 7.30.
